How a Student Tech Team Can Save Lives or At Least Help Your District
Do you know how to do some cool tech stuff but just don’t have enough time to get into classrooms to show it to teachers? What are schools crawling with? Students! Imagine building a group of student technology leaders, aka a Geek Squad, that you can train as your own personal minions to get those skills flowing through the hallways of your campus! This session will explain how to build digital capacity in a small group of student leaders who can share knowledge with others through a badge-based certification program.

Escape Into the Classroom. Education escape rooms have enormous potential since they can be adapted to any subject. We have used and developed standard based Escape rooms in all kinds of curriculum. We use it and want to share it with other educators. We will walk you through the whole process including finding ideas, using the instructions and videos, gathering the materials needed, and steps to build your own. Bring the current culture into the classroom. We will show how to use Google to prepare some elements of the breakout activities.
