NoRedInk: Unleash the Writer Within!
In this session, we'll go over how NoRedInk generates personalized passages based on students' interests, allows them to edit and manipulate language in non-multiple-choice formats, dives into 4-step writing cycle modules for argumentative writing, and adapts to their abilities with differentiated feedback and instant remediation. The platform allows teachers to create diagnostics and generate easy-to-read data sets to assess students’ initial performance, monitor their progress through differentiated assignments, and administer both formative and summative assessments to track growth. Students work through over 50 scopes and sequences manipulating language in authentic contexts, mastering topics along the program’s learning pathways, and verifying understanding through “checkpoints” and multi-paragraph challenge passages.
Basically, if you've ever been frustrated by seeing the same grammar and conventions mistakes over and over, or you're not happy with the level of writing you're seeing from students, you should come to this session.

Organizing the Google Monster
In this session we will address the daunting task that is organizing Google Drive and Gmail. Digital clutter is no less a problem than physical, and it can cause stress and poor management to even the best of teachers.

Google Drive:
Because the storage service lets users save files like documents, forms and photos there is a lot of room to play with - which makes it infinitely easy to create clutter. The sheer amount of data often causes difficulty locating specific files. Drive has all of this taken care of, however, with a plethora of tools; this session will show how to utilize Drive's built in organizational tools to personalize organizational structure to best fit your needs.

Gmail:
Modern communication is digital, and that involves checking and sending emails regularly. This can be time consuming and emails can stack up, causing missed messages and miscommunication. Gmail has many built-in tools to help keep users organized and to improve efficiency, however. This session will help turn your Gmail into a self-organized application.

*A copy of the presentation will be accessible after the presentation.
