In this session, we'll go over how NoRedInk generates personalized passages based on students' interests, allows them to edit and manipulate language in non-multiple-choice formats, dives into 4-step writing cycle modules for argumentative writing, and adapts to their abilities with differentiated feedback and instant remediation. The platform allows teachers to create diagnostics and generate easy-to-read data sets to assess students’ initial performance, monitor their progress through differentiated assignments, and administer both formative and summative assessments to track growth. Students work through over 50 scopes and sequences manipulating language in authentic contexts, mastering topics along the program’s learning pathways, and verifying understanding through “checkpoints” and multi-paragraph challenge passages. Basically, if you've ever been frustrated by seeing the same grammar and conventions mistakes over and over, or you're not happy with the level of writing you're seeing from students, you should come to this session.
